Co-curated with moving image artist Reman Sadani, Free to Forage showcases the work of mixed heritage creative practitioners reconnecting with nature & its intersection with social justice.
Funded by Arts Council England - the programme collaborates with and highlights cultural producers, whose work shifts our attention to nature to address colonial legacies, diasporic experiences, land and environmental justice. The main questions we pose are: How has colonialism altered the relationships between living beings? How do we begin to heal these severed relationships?

This digital, interactive zine is the culmination of T A P E’s season, Free to Forage, showcasing the work of over 20 talented mixed heritage creative practitioners who work with and explore nature as part of their practice. Packed with meditations in the form of poetry, photography, essays, recipes paintings and more.
Along with a sprinkling of events until May, and a digital zine we are launching an open-source directory & library to preserve & celebrate the legacy of conversations around work by mixed heritage artists to serve as an educational resource to encourage mixed heritage audiences to forage & reclaim nature.
Let’s create.
